Life is an adventure to me. I try to follow my interests. I became a widow, which was something devastating and unexpected, but I challenged myself to complete my degree in Gerontology and Activity Therapy. I obtained a full time job as an activity director for an Altzheimer unit a residential nursing home. I have been working in this field for many years and get a great deal of satisfaction making the residents enjoy each day. Presently I am working at The Heritage, a senior residence facility in Southfield, MI. I began The Heritage Players involving the residents in plays and musicals which I conceive and direct, satisfying my creativity and love for seeing the residents enjoy themselves.
The loves of my life are my three sons and three grandchildren, Gabe, 13, Emily 11, and Noah, 8. They have fun with Bubbe Harriett playing baseball, soccer, volleyball, cards, and putting on plays for the family.
Recently, my youngest son Mark, obtained his Pediatric and Adolescent Psychiatry doctorate in Augusta, Georgia, and will be settling in Fayetteville, North Carolina. We are all very proud of him.
I am looking forward to continue working (which I love), traveling with my many friends, enjoying the JCC health club, and taking educational classes.
I am truly blessed to be able to enjoy my life to its fullest.
