Sorry to read of his passing.  Neil and I were neighbors.  We used to play baseball in the street until the cops ran us off.

Neil was never a close friend, but I remember him as a fierce debater and was not surprised he became a very respected defense attorney.

Neil and I were friends from about the time we were about 12 thru high school.  His mon loved to play the horses and I think Neil was a jockey's agent as a young man.  We lost contact after high school but my brother Stu , told me that he became a very distinguish criminal atty.  I have found memories of him during our early teens.  Many of our classmates have passed over the years so it's important that at this stage of ours lives to take the time we have left to enjoy our friends and family and do the things we like .

I remember Neil from the 5th grade, and on up thru HS. I was surprised when in the 60s he, as an attorney,  became a public figure in a highly publicized murder case. Wow, I said. I knew somebody who became very important. But by now I realize many of my classmates became important in their fields. Members of classes of 56, 57, 58, 59, 60 from Mumford were the best. And Neil was certainly one of them. RIP Neil.
