I have many fond memories of Steve from being a "fellow drip" in Miss Faucett's class in Hampton elementary, to studing for the bar together, and sharing a house in Georgetown as we both started the practice of law in D.C. From time to time, I had the opportunity to enlist Steve's counsel on matters in Michigan and always knew I would receive sage advice. Although we had not communicated since my retirement some years ago, reading of his loss, brought sadness and brought home not only the memories of past times, but the realization that time passes far too quickly and that recalling memories is no substitute for face to face, or at least telephonic communication with fellow '57 classmates; that being said I look forward to the 60th reunion to be able to reminisce not only about Steve, but with those of us who will have successfully reached that milestone.
